Aleksandra Gowin & Ireneusz Grzyb (Little Crushes)

Aleksandra Gowin (1986) is a Polish film director and editor. She  graduated in film editing from the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. As an editor, she collaborated with award-winning Polish directors, such as Tomasz Wasilewski (Floating Skyscrapes– Karlovy Vary IFF, Tribeca FF; In the Bedroom – Mannheim-Heidelberg IFF) or Grzegorz Jaroszuk (Kebab i horoskop).

She directed several award-winning short feature films, among them Stwór and Druciki which were successful on the local market and were picked up by national and pay TV (Canal+). Her first feature film (directed in collaboration with Ireneusz Grzyb) – Little Crushes – had its world premiere at the Rotterdam IFF 2014 (Bright Future section).

Aleksandra Gowin was awarded with the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Film Award at the Koszalin Debut Film Festival, The Young and Cinema.

Ireneusz Grzyb is a Polish film director, screenwriter and editor. Born in 1977 in Łódź, Poland, he  graduated from the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. As a film editor, he worked on several films that gained international recognition and were selected at a number of international film festivals, among them Rogalik (Warsaw FF, Oberhausen FF, Chinese Academy Award of Documentary Film, Kraków FF), Psubrat (Warsaw FF, Gdynia FF, Cottbus FF), Koleżanki (Gdynia FF, Warsaw FF, Koszalin).

He was awarded with the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Film Award and Stanisław Różewicz Award at the Koszalin Debut Film Festival, The Young and Cinema.

Grzyb started to collaborate with Aleksandra Gowin (co-director of Little Crushes) during his studies in Łódź. Their first film Druciki was successful at the local market and was picked up by national and pay TV (Canal+). Their first feature film – Little Crushes – had its world premiere at the Rotterdam IFF 2014 (Bright Future section).IMG_9483
